If you get an Invalid path error when you set the Expected path of a mission, here's what you should know.

If you're creating a mission and get an Invalid path message when you set your Expected path, this means the last screen of the mission was used more than once. The last screen of the mission should only be used at the end of the path.

Why can't I use the last screen in the Expected path more than once?

If you use the last screen both in the middle of the Expected path and at the end of it, your results will be skewed. The Expected path you set is used to measure the Direct Success and the Indirect Success metrics in Maze.

A mission is considered complete once a user reaches the last screen of the Expected path.
If the last screen is used in the middle of the Expected Path, it will be measured as an Indirect Success because the user reached the last screen even though they didn't fully complete the mission.

What should I do?

You should make sure the last screen is used only once in the Expect Path, that is at the end of it.
If you get an Invalid path message, here's what you should do:

Remove the highlighted screens from the path or
Change the last screen.
